  Love listening to musicals? Singing along to your favorite songs? Of course you do! Enjoy this wonderful rendition of "Hadestown" Teen Edition by Peru Drama Club! This musical is about the story that intertwines two Greek myths, Orpheus & Eurydice and Hades & Persephone, set in a gritty, Depression-era, jazz-infused world. Eurydice, struggling to survive, is lured to Hadestown, an industrial underworld ruled by Hades. Orpheus, a hopeful musician, travels to rescue her using the power of his song. Meanwhile, the gods’ troubled relationship, Persephone’s yearning for the upper world and Hades’ increasing control, creates imbalance above and below. The show follows Orpheus’ quest, Eurydice’s choice, and the tension between love, doubt, and destiny, all narrated by Hermes and accompanied by the Fates, blending poetry, folk, jazz, and blues into a modern myth about hope in the face of hardship.
