You will find the transcript below We would like hear from you, if you have any question or you opinion on how to improve this podcast please send us an email: Don't miss the Spanish courses we offer in Mexico:  Mexico City Spanish Language School Spanish immersion program  Transcript: Vivir en la ciudad o en el campo Testimonio de un citadino Yo he vivido en la ciudad desde que era un niño, el campo está bien para ir a tomar aire limpio de vez en cuando o también para tomar unas vacaciones, pero yo soy un citadino. Yo no podría vivir nunca en el campo. Principalmente por razones profesionales, en la ciudad uno puede encontrar trabajo, pero sobre todo también por razones culturales. Teatros, cines, exposiciones, conciertos, restaurantes y cadenas de comida rápida. Se encuentra de todo en la ciudad, también gente que viene de varios países. A mí me encanta el ambiente internacional. Y si hablamos del aspecto académico, es evidente que en la ciudad se encuentran las mejores universidades. También aprecio el esfuerzo del gobierno por mejorar el sistema de transporte público y los servicios de bicicleta pública. Actualmente podemos transportarnos más eficazmente y fácilmente, es menos estresante. Por supuesto hay algunos puntos negativos, como la contaminación, y los precios de las rentas, son muy elevados, pero al final de cuentas, yo no renunciaría nunca a la vida en una gran ciudad, es mucho más divertida e interesante. Testimonio de una persona que vivió en la ciudad Mi familia y yo hemos dejado la ciudad hace 6 años. Demasiado estrés, demasiada contaminación, el costo de vida es demasiado elevado y los tiempos para transportarte de tu casa al trabajo son exagerados. Nos hemos mudado a un pequeño pueblo de aproximadamente 5 mil habitantes. Hay una escuela muy cerca para los niños, y mi esposa y yo hemos abierto un pequeño negocio. Todas las personas viajan a pie o usan la bicicleta. Aquí la vida es más tranquila, tenemos tiempo para hacer otras actividades por ejemplo pasear, hay un mercado todos los sábados por la mañana donde venden frutas y verduras frescas. Se encuentran productos de excelente calidad y naturales. También las personas son amigables y hay más convivencia. Aquí también tenemos internet, tenemos acceso a la modernidad. Después de todos estos años, no me arrepiento de haberme mudado al campo, estoy seguro que no vamos a regresar a una gran ciudad.

Tener un perro en casa da mucha alegría. Tienes un amigo siempre a tu lado, te recibe cuando llegas del trabajo, te sigue a todas partes, te cuida y siempre quiere hacerte compañía. Si estás planeando tener un perrito en tu casa, te recomiendo adoptar, es mejor porque hay muchos perritos que han sido abandonados y necesitan un hogar y una familia que los quiera. Muchas personas regalan o compran un perro pero después de un rato los abandonan. Todos los fines de semana cuando voy al parque México que está en la Condesa, veo a muchos perritos en Jaulas, cachorritos y perros más grandes, también hay gatos. Las personas que están ayudando a los perros pertenecen a refugios o grupos de rescate animal. Estas personas lo hacen por el amor que tienen a los perros, muchas veces los ayudan con sus propios recursos y sin fines de lucro. Si estás en el parque México puedes pedir permiso para pasear a los perros, o también puedes contribuir con algo de dinero o croquetas para los perritos. Si ves a un perro que te gusta y quieres adoptarlo es muy fácil, solo tienes que dar una donación, puede ser dinero o croquetas, una foto de tu identificación y comprobante de domicilio. Te recomendamos llevar a tu perrito después de ser adoptado a un veterinario. El veterinario lo examinará y te dirá que es lo mejor que hacer para que se recupere tu perrito. Si es la primera vez que tienes un perro, lo mejor es llevarlo con un adiestrador canino para que te explique lo que tienes que enseñarle a tu perro, por ejemplo, en qué lugar tiene que ir al baño, socializar con otros perros, manejar la ansiedad por separación, etc. En Ciudad de México hay muchos lugares Pet Friendly, puedes llevar a tu perro al trabajo, a un café, a un restaurante, hay parques para perros. Yo cada día llevo a mi perro al parque para que juegue con otros perros. Tener un perro cambiará tu vida! Si tienes un perro o has adoptado quisiera escuchar tu experiencia.

Hay muchos diseños diferentes de trajes tradicionales. Algunos de ellos se utilizan para celebraciones y días festivos, algunos, para ceremonias, otros, para festivales. Las características principales de los trajes típicos mexicanos son: La protección solar, es por eso que los hombres usan sombreros y la ropa está hecha de materiales naturales, y mucha ropa es blanca. Muchos colores, la tela de las prendas en su mayoría tiene muchos colores y está bordada. La ropa es elegante, las faldas son largas, las flores se usan a menudo para embellecer el traje, el peinado y el tocado. El traje tradicional de los hombres mexicanos ha cambiado muy poco durante siglos. Pero no podemos decir lo mismo de la ropa de mujer. La mayoría de los trajes derivan de una mezcla de la cultura indígena y europea. La ropa de los hombres por lo general no es tan colorida como la de las mujeres. Los trajes tradicionales están hechos de varios tejidos: lana, algodón y seda. Por lo general, los colores de la vestimenta tradicional son el rojo, el marrón, el verde y el amarillo. Los mexicanos solían teñir su ropa con componentes naturales, pero hoy en día no tienen que hacerlo. Las prendas de vestir de hombre más populares y conocidas en México son el sarape, el traje de charro, el sombrero, la guayabera y el poncho. El  Sarape es una prenda de colores vibrante, se utiliza como abrigo tipo chal y también como manta. El traje charro es un traje especial bellamente bordado que se usa en el Día de Muertos. Sombrero es un sombrero mexicano de ala ancha. Este sombrero está hecho de paja o fieltro grueso. Protege el cuerpo del sol. Esta parte de la ropa es la más reconocible en todo el mundo. Guayabero es una camisa o traje liviano que se usa tanto como vestimenta informal como formal. Está hecho de algodón y muy a menudo está decorado con pesados bordados. Guayabero es el atuendo perfecto para el calor mexicano. ROPA TRADICIONAL DE MUJER Las prendas de vestir femeninas más populares y conocidas en México son el huipil, el rebozo, la falda mexicana (tienen varios nombres en diferentes regiones. Huipil es una túnica sin mangas, hecha de algodón o lana. Se lleva con falda. El diseño de esta pieza depende de una región, creencias, estado civil, etc. El huipil es una de las prendas femeninas más populares en México. Rebozo es un chal hecho de algodón, lana o seda. El color del rebozo representan la región y la comunidad. Esta pieza del traje típico mexicano se usa no solo como vestimenta, sino también para transportar productos y mercancías, incluso bebés. Las faldas mexicanas pueden ser hasta los tobillos o hasta las rodillas. Están hechos de algodón, lana, seda y encaje. Muy a menudo son anchos, brillantes y bordados. Actualmente hay que estar conectado en las redes sociales y seguir a los influencers para conocer lo que está de moda. Para comprar ropa, Leonardo tiene dos opciones, él puede ir a la tienda o pedir por internet. Cuando Leonardo va a la tienda, él compara los precios y escoge la ropa de acuerdo a su presupuesto. Sin embargo, él prefiere comprar la ropa en las tiendas porque ahí él puede probarse la ropa. ¿En qué gasta más dinero? En tenis, él compra los más cómodos y bonitos. Él gasta en promedio $3000 pesos cada 6 meses para comprar tenis. Sus padres le dan un poco de dinero, pero Leonardo también trabaja en una cafetería los fines de semana. A los jóvenes les encanta vestir con ropa deportiva y muchos compran ropa de marca. Para Leonardo no estar a la moda significa sentirse excluido, es una forma de integrarse con otros jóvenes. En una clasificación internacional, Filipinas ocupa el primer lugar, los filipinos pasan aproximadamente 241 minutos al día usando las redes sociales. En segundo lugar está Brasil, en tercer lugar Colombia, en séptimo lugar Estados Unidos y en Octavo lugar México. Los mexicanos pasar alrededor de 190 minutos al día. Las redes que más usan los mexicanos, las voy a mencionar en orden de importancia: 1. Whatsapp 2. Facebook 3. Instagram 4. Tiktok 5. Twitter Los jóvenes entre 14 a 20 años de edad ocupan el 54% de los usuarios, mientras que las personas que menos usan las redes son de 51 a 60 años y representan el 1%. ¿y cuál es el objetivo o razón principal por la cual los mexicanos usan las redes sociales? El uso de las redes sociales también ha influido en el idioma español en México, hay nuevas palabras para describir el mundo digital, por ejemplo tiktokear, googlear, tuitear, dar like y meme, entre otras palabras, se convirtieron en conceptos comunes e incluso muchos han sido incluidos en la Real Academia de la Lengua Española, como trolear y avatar, que se incorporaron en el 2020. ¿ Y tú qué redes sociales usas? ¿Cuánto tiempo pasas viendo tus redes sociales?

Se llama Tarjeta de Movilidad Integrada, con esta tarjeta podrás tomar el Metro, Metrobús, Tren Ligero, Ecobici y Cablebus. Funciona de manera similar a una tarjeta de débito, el costo del pasaje del Metro es de $ 5 pesos y Metrobús $ 6 pesos, debes de cargar dinero, y en cada estación hay una maquina donde puedes cargarla. El objetivo de esta tarjeta es crear un trasporte eficiente e integrado, así como disminuir la contaminación y disminuir los tiempos de transporte. En promedio un habitante de la Ciudad de México pierde hasta 1 hora 21 minutos en sus viajes cotidianos. Las personas pierden tiempo y dinero en esperar el metro, el camión o la combi, también en los trayectos entre transportes. Según un estudio en la Ciudad de México las personas pierden hasta cinco años de su vida viajando en el transporte público. Antes de existir esta tarjeta, las personas tenían que hacer filas para comprar sus boletos de los diferentes medios de transporte. Bajabas del Metrobús y tenías que formarte para comprar un boleto de papel para tomar el Metro. Y actualmente en un mundo cada vez digital, ahora puedes pagar también con tu celular. Ahora ya sabes, si estás en la Ciudad de México y quieres conocer la Ciudad, la mejor forma es en transporte público, podrás ver cómo se mueve la gente y vivirás como un mexicano!

Laura estaciona su coche en un estacionamiento grande, ella siempre encuentra lugar. Ella toma un carrito y entra al super, todo está muy bien ordenado, hay productos nacionales e internacionales. Cuando Laura va al supermercado ella trata de no gastar mucho dinero. Su presupuesto mensual no es muy grande. Laura también trata de comprar productos locales y productos que no dañan al medio ambiente. También ella está intentando reducir su consumo de carne. Ella compra yogurt, pasta, atún, papel higiénico y pasa a la caja a pagar. Laura también lleva una bolsa reutilizable. Hacer las compras de manera alternativa A Sergio no le gustan los grandes centros comerciales, él prefiere las tiendas pequeñas, ahí puede encontrar productos locales, y comprar frutas y verduras frescas, también Sergio va a la carnicería y la pescadería, donde encuentra carne y pescado fresco. Sergio lleva sus propias bolsas para cuidar el medio ambiente y usa la bicicleta o simplemente camina para no usar carro o algún medio de transporte. Sergio hace las compras el domingo en la mañana, en un mercado que está a unas cuadras de su casa. Él va al negocio donde venden frutas y verduras.
